If you're a businessperson, you've probably got a cell phone, right? You definitely use the internet. You IM. You text. You email. But even with all those advanced digital technologies at your disposal, enabling instantaneous global communication, you still probably find yourself sending faxes. We live and work in the computer age, but we still find that the easiest and most reliable method of sending a document to another party is the same one our parents and grandparents used the fax machine. You read the subheading right! No fax machine necessary! Amazing? Astounding? Perhaps. Jaw-droppingly cool? No question. Pay attention now I'm about to tell you how to fax from your computer.
The first thing you need to know is that I'm not talking about using a word processing program to fax a document from your computer to another. That's a point-to-point transfer, and the only difference is you're using your computer instead of a fax machine. It works great, and if you like doing it that way, more power to you. There's a whole slew of online companies that will send your fax for you, over the internet, for little or no cost. No long-distance fees. No tying up your phone line. And you can fax that document to anywhere in the world.
